Data Ownership, Possession and Accessibility

In recent years, there has been increasing recognition of the value of data and the importance of utilising it effectively to support business operations, drive performance measurement, and enhance communication—both internally and externally. This is especially critical for Registered Social Landlords in their interactions with residents and customers.


Most organisations have a plethora of data already in their possession or in the possession of third parties.  Unfortunately, much of the data is not codified nor shared.


Where do we start to ensure against future data gaps?  Ensuring ownership, possession and accessibility of all data generated by or on behalf of the organisation is overkill and a massive project.  We would recommend ‘keeping it simple’.
